Internship/Practicum Opportunity

What to expect:

  • You would provide individual, personal counselling for post-secondary students via in-person sessions, online, or by phone. Anyone considering a practicum with us will need to be flexible with on-site and online/phone service delivery.
  • Practicum must be completed in-person, on campus.
  • We typically accept practicums running September through April, Monday - Friday (Christmas holidays off), with one evening per week expected for Walk-In Wednesday.
  • Additional hours will be required for staff meetings, case consultations, individual/group supervision, learning intake procedures, and front-desk shifts.
  • It might include opportunities to co-facilitate group counselling sessions and/or provide psychoeducational and training opportunities to students on campus.

  • Athabasca University
  • CityU

  • Application deadline for the 2026/2027 academic year: February 20, 2026. Eligible students will be shortlisted and interviews will take place during the first week of March.
