Asynchronous Tutorials

We have a variety of asynchronous tutorials and other learning objects to supplement our information literacy instruction. You can link to these resources in your courses:

These APA, MLA, and Chicago style tutorials can be uploaded into your Blackboard course. Alternatively, you may use an online version that generates a "Certificate of Completion."
  • Academic Integrity (online guide with self-assessment)
This guide covers the definition of academic integrity and academic misconduct, and reviews several practical scenarios. It includes a self-assessment that generates a "Certificate of Completion."
  • Anatomy of a Scholarly Article (online tutorial)
This tutorial covers the common components of a scholarly article and demonstrates effective strategies for reading scholarly articles. It generates an optional "Certificate of Completion."
  • A Quick Guide to Copyright for Students (interactive video)
This video introduces the basic concepts of copyright and Creative Commons in Canada (5:41).
  • A Quick Guide to OneSearch at RDP Library (video)
