There are a number of different styles or formats for citations. The style you use depends upon the subject discipline you are working in. If you are uncertain about which style to use, ask your teacher.

The War to End All Wars

(COC Ch 12-15 WWI Group Proj.1)

  1. Rationale:    The goal of this activity is to allow students to explore the ways in which nationalism and the pursuit of national interest were reflected in various aspects of the warfare and diplomacy  which characterized WWI.  Consider in the context of “total war” and “national self-interest.”
     

  2. Procedure:  Students may do this  project individually or in a partnership of two.

  3. Complete the reading of Century of Change chapters 12-15 and select from the list of topics below.

  19. Presentation:

Length of presentation:  10 minutes maximum

Form of presentation:  Flexible, but include the following key elements (Hint:  chose a presentation format which allows you to showcase your interests and talents):

  1. Oral Presentation Component:  

  2. Visual Component: choose one of the following

    1. Power Point

    2. Visual Display presentation

    3. Model or Diorama

    4. Other:  clear with teacher

  3. Student Worksheet (word processed 2 pages max) to be completed by students during presentation

  4. Annotated List of Resources:  (minimum of three (3))

    1. On a separate word processed paged handed in to the teacher on the due date

    2. Should include:  one (1) sentence annotations for each entry
