Historic & Numbered Treaties
Treaties form the basis of the relationship between the Crown and 364 First Nations. Historic Treaties refer to 70 treaties negotiated between 1701 and 1923. There are 11 treaties that were negotiated between 1871 and 1921, referred to as the Numbered Treaties.
