Blackboard is the current learning management system (LMS) used at Red Deer Polytechnic.
RDP is transitioning to Brightspace, a new LMS, beginning Winter term. Your course may use either Blackboard or Brightspace.

Your Winter term course(s) may be included in the Brightspace pilot phase (around 50 courses).
Check this list:
If your course is on the list, you'll access it through Brightspace.
If your course is NOT on the list, you'll access it through Blackboard.

During Winter term, some RDP courses may be included in the Brightspace pilot phase (~50 courses). All other RDP courses will continue to use Blackboard.
By Fall 2026, all RDP courses will use Brightspace. At that time, Blackboard will no longer be available to students.
