Can I use an iPad to take an exam with LockDown Browser?

You may be able to use an iPad to take an exam that requires LockDown Browser, by using the Respondus LockDown Browser app.

Note: This option is not available for every exam. Your instructor must select the appropriate course setting to allow the use of an iPad for a LockDown Browser exam.

To use your iPad to take an exam LockDown Browser, follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the LockDown Browser app from the Apple App Store to the iPad (requires iOS 11 or higher).
  2. Launch the LockDown Browser app. The first time the app is used, you will be prompted to select your institution. Once setup is complete, you will be directed to the Blackboard login page.
  3. Login with your RDP credentials, navigate to your course and quiz, and begin your exam.
