The Raspberry Pi 3 is an open source single board computer. It's used in hardware projects, to learn programming skills, home automation, and much more. You can connect a mouse and keyboard and use it in many of the same ways you would a traditional computer.
The Makerspace features a soundproofed studio room with a retractable green screen for all your audiovisual needs. Computer stations are equipped with editing software and Cameras are available for checkout at the library service desk. The studio room is also home to a Blue Snowball iCE stationary USB microphone
A 3D Pen is a tool which heats and pushes plastic through a nozzle located at the tip of the pen. The plastic sets and hardens instantly and can be used to create shapes and models of different complexity. Our pens use PLA as a material. Great for using pieces of scrap filament that would normally be used with a 3D printer!
Arduino's are programmable microcontroller boards that can be used in a variety of electronic projects. An Arduino reads inputs from sensors and uses them to produce outputs. They are great for beginner's looking to learn more about electronics.
