NEW FAQ (with video!): How do I cite a nursing textbook?
Welcome to the Nursing Textbook citation page! Feel free to utilize this resource to help you cite your nursing and other heath-related literature.
Please note:
While this guide is meant to assist you with citing your textbooks, it is your responsibility to double-check each citation against the APA style guide to ensure formatting and all required information is reflected.
At first glance, this might look like a book written by the same group of people, but if you check the chapters, you'll see that each one has its own author. Therefore, it is an edited volume, and each chapter should be cited individually in the references list.
For this book, APA Style's standard "Chapter in an Edited Book" should be followed. For example: APA 7th ed.
In some cases, the chapter authors are the same as the book's editors. For these chapters, these individuals should be listed twice (as both the chapter's author and as the book's editors) where appropriate.

Please note that although the chapters say "Adapted by...", it is recommend that these names be listed as the chapter authors.
