The Responsible Conduct of Research is a "generic term that refers not only to scientific integrity, in the broadest sense of the concept, but to any research-related activity, including the management of funds" (Responsible and Ethical Conduct of College Research, A Guide, p. 8).
As part the Agreement on the Administration of Agency Grants and Awards by Research Institutions Red Deer Polytechnic signed with the federal Tri-Agencies, we are bound by the Tri-Agency Framework: Responsible Conduct of Research. This Framework assigns responsibilities to both the institution and the individual researcher.
