Division of Applied Research

ABOUT:

The Division of Applied Research  has 4 focus areas + we support RDP’s Faculty-Led Research across all research disciplines. The 4 focus areas include: Manufacturing & Advanced Manufacturing; Healthcare & Health Technology; Energy Innovation; Social Innovation. Applied Research thrives when technology, creativity, arts, science, and humanities synergize to co-create solutions for communities and individuals to live better, together. Innovative ecosystems benefit when multidisciplinary teams come together to grapple with ideas, think through complex problems, and garner best possible solutions.

YOUR RESEARCH:

What are you grappling with? Are you thinking of applying for a research grant? Wondering how to navigate the grant application process? Is there a problem that you want to solve through your research? How can you partner with others on the grant application and leverage funding? Faculty and researchers have good questions! Good news: The Division of Applied Research is here to help.

WHERE TO BEGIN:

As faculty members, your research can have a profound impact and advance knowledge or solve problems. Start by defining your research focus, seeking external partners, and exploring funding opportunities that are a good fit with your research. With dedication and perseverance, you can take your idea from idea to impact, from idea to dissemination.
