As faculty members, your research can have a profound impact. Start by defining your applied research focus, seeking external partners, and exploring funding opportunities. With dedication and perseverance, you can take your idea from idea to impact.

Before you start a research grant application, please contact Tonya Wolfe in Division of Applied Research and complete the Intent to Apply for External Funding Form. We look forward to working with you!

Types of Researching Funding

Internal funding
Some internal funding for research and scholarly activities is made available through the RDP-SSHRC Internal Grants Program, Faculty Professional Development Committee and Faculty Research and Scholarship Fund which is part of Letter of Understanding #9 in the FARDP Collective Agreement.

External funding

Funding programs sponsored by governments and external sponsors are posted on on our External Funding Opportunities page along with information about webinars hosted by funding agencies about specific opportunities (when available).
