RDP’s Research Test Kitchen, hosted by the Research Common, is an opportunity for scholars to talk about the work in which they’re currently engaged and receive input and feedback. Just like a chef trying out recipes, scholars are encouraged to bring work in any stage of progress to a space where they can test out ideas in conversation with colleagues.
This month in the Test Kitchen, ELCC instructor Claudia Sasse will share her EdD Research Proposal Project. Claudia's research study aims to identify the needs of RDP’s students when transitioning from high school (or from a school hiatus) to post-secondary education (PSE).
As a scholar practitioner, Claudia has three main objectives for her research study:
Identify the gaps in the transition to PSE
Determine new and existent supports to address these gaps
Find out why students are not accessing the current supports being offered to them
She welcomes questions and feedback about the research topic, methodology, and process.
The conversation will take place Friday, February 3, 12-1 pm in person in room 2901B or online through Microsoft Teams. Registration is preferred for in person attendance and required to receive a link to the meeting.
